That being said, in order for this to display properly, you'll need to have word wrap on, considering I can't put in line breaks myself since I have no idea what size your window is.

 Introduction
 ------------

Vairocana is the third and final component of my OSC5 Triple Threat (maybe not the "threat" part) and my third keyboard chart ever (so go easy, okay :P). Vairocana is originally from Pop'n Music 12 Iroha, where it is the third song in the "Cyber" series (after Dynamic! Atomic! SCB&G and Arrabbiata). Of course, it manages to be even faster than Arrabbiata and it is, in short, completely insane (but badass).

The artist is listed as 五条式改, which can be romanised as "Gojoushiki Kai". I think it means something along the lines of "Neo Five-Part Ceremony" but I'm really not sure. Although it's never been proven, I'm pretty sure this song is by Naoki like Arrabbiata - the background percussion and the feel of the song just seem too much like MAX 300 and Sakura for it to be anyone else, not to mention that Arrabbiata's artist was listed as "RevenG Kai" (which could be translated as Neo RevenG, I think). The name refers to Vairocana Buddha, of whom you may find all the information you could possibly want at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vairocana

The song starts with a slow intro and then soon speeds up to a rather quick 290 bpm (barring a couple of subtle slowdowns later on). For the speedup, I made it accelerate from the initial 145 to 290 over a measure for effect, using a BPM trick prepared for me by Krazy, who is some kind of mathematical genius. The halving on the final note was added in by me because I thought it was cool :) This song has a weird time signature, it didn't really make much of a difference for the harder charts but it did make it a bit tricky to select where to put arrows for the easier charts.

For this file, I made the required two keyboard charts and then made three pad charts to accompany them because I hate releasing files that don't have a full set of difficulties. :P If last OSC's keyboard division is anything to go by I may be the only person who did this at all, but you don't have to play anything other than heavy/challenge if you don't want to :)

 Steps
 -----

Beginner, light and standard are the pad steps. I doubt anyone reading this cares, so I'm not going to go into them in much detail. Light and standard would probably be standard and heavy if I made a fully pad file for this (unless I wanted it to be the extra stage in something), and beginner is included because I like the irony of putting beginner steps in a keyboard file. :P

Heavy is the first keyboard chart, although it's probably also paddable anyway (although a few of the jumps might be a bit hard). For that reason I rated it an 11. Most of it is 8th streaming at the song's 290 bpm, and it doesn't have any steps faster than that other than a few 12th triplets. Should be very easy for experienced keyboard players, I suspect - hell, even I can pass it :P

Challenge is the real deal, you could say. This one is definitely NOT paddable and I don't advise anyone to try. Rated a 14 because ITG's 13s are still paddable after all, although I don't really understand how to rate keyboard files. Most of the file is still 8th stream but there are enough 12ths in parts to pose quite a challenge, to say nothing of the 16th roll and couple of 16th triplets. Jumps mark the cymbal clashes mostly. I apologise in advance for the ending, but it felt like the only way to end it - the song was building to such a loud climax that regular 8ths would only be a letdown. >_> It's not as fast as the ending of Eggman's One More Lovely after all! :P And now I think I might change my name and move to another country before you all figure out where I live.

Both heavy and challenge were designed to be index friendly and tested by Danir or DARQ or Draxin or whatever the hell he calls himself now, so hopefully they are in fact index friendly. Challenge is probably not very one hand friendly at all but such is life, I guess.

 Graphics & End
 --------------

All graphics were made in Paint Shop Pro 8 (we STILL don't need no stinkin' Photoshop >_>)

The banner and background both use photos taken by me in Japan (Kyoto and Takayama respectively). Yes I know that's probably not Vairocana specifically in the banner and that the torii gate in the background is Shinto and nothing to do with Buddhism at all but I really don't care. :P

The fonts used are Skeksis for the song title and Sword Kanji for the artist.

CD title is a shrunk version of an image made for me by Efreit back about when time began or so (it was originally made for quite a different reason :P) It's my name since there are no standards as to what the CD title should be for keyboard files, so there :P

Thanks to Krazy for the BPM effect, DARQniraxin and Zidanel33t for testing and Eggman, Mazrim & Fletcher for answering a few questions for me about making a decent keyboard file.

See you next OSC!
